Log in vs. log on In nontechnical web parlance, log on often means to visit (especially a website), and log in means to sign in with a username and password. For example, we could say you logged on to this website simply by visiting this page, but you won’t be logging in because nothing on this site requires a username and password. Log in is a verb phrase. When you log in to something, you provide credentials to access material. If the material is online, you might log in with a predetermined username and password. If you are logging in to a records room, for instance, or an evidence locker, these credentials might be an ID card or simply your name and title.

"Login", on the other hand, written as one word, is a noun or an adjective, referring directly to the data (username and password) that are introduced in order to connect a computer to another system. When do we use "log in"? You can use "log in" only as a verb, referring to the action of introducing the data that allows you to connect to a specific system. Log in (two words) should only be used as a verb. Login (one word) can be a noun or an adjective. Since noun and login are both single words than end in with an N, remembering whether to use login or log in should not be difficult.
No conclusive answer here either, both work fine.
